If I started a business today, this is what I would do:

  1. Automate what you can

  2. Prioritise customers above all

  3. Talk to customers from day one

  4. Work with people who operate like this 

  5. Don't work with a**holes - don't break this

  6. Build an audience through your personal brand

  7. Start selling as fast as possible - cash flow is key

  8. Build an ecosystem around your company with different price levels:


    → Free products
    → Low ticket products
    → Medium ticket products
    → The highest ticket products

  9. When the time is right, outsource work to contractors

  10. Document processes, how-to’s from day one

  11. Start with a simple one-page landing page or just your LinkedIn profile

  12. Build the company as lean as possible (there's so much you don't need)

  13. Bootstrap the company (don’t look for funding, do consulting on the side to pay bills)

  14. Iterate with prices and adjust when you learn how long each part takes for you to deliver

  15. Answer inbound and client requests as soon as you possibly can - most people are slow, be fast and make it your competitive advantage.
