🔥 6 Tips For Starting a Successful Business

Let’s get into it.

1. Learn about your ideal customer profile

  • Who are they?

  • What’s important to them?

  • What’s their pain?

  • How can you help them become more successful?

  • Are people willing to pay for your product/service?

Speak with customers and take their input on your product from day one.

After all, they are the buyer so you want to learn as much as possible from them.

Avoid falling in love with your idea.

Be ready to pivot if you need to.

How do you know?

Never stop talking to customers.

2. Build multiple income streams

It takes time to build a business.

My advice to first-time founders is to build multiple income streams to avoid having a short runway and feeling stressed.

Find ways to support yourself in the beginning before your business starts taking off.

Especially when you bootstrap your company.

This can be; doing consulting for someone else, advisory, consultation calls, a paid newsletter, a side hustle etc.

So many people give up, don’t let it be because of financial reasons that you could have avoided.

3. Surround yourself with people who want to see you win

Who we surround ourselves with has such a huge impact on us.

Find other founders and be around positive people that lifts you up.

Find a mentor or an advisor.

Maybe consider a co-founder?

Cut out toxic people out of your life.

We do enough of questioning of ourselves anyway.

I can’t stress this enough and how much it matters.

4. Build demand as soon as possible

Today we can build demand through social media from day one.

Before you even publicly announce your startup, you can build massive traffic, authority, thought leadership and demand.

Daily I receive emails and dm’s from people who ask for funding.

I can clearly see that they have no idea of who I am and what I do.

When I check their profile, most of them have ZERO activity on LinkedIn.

Social media is FREE today.

Demand is by far the greatest challenge for businesses.

Start building organic growth on social media.

Show that you have done all you can before you go out and ask for funding.

5. Sell as soon as possible

Don’t wait until things are perfect. Sell your vision. Generate revenue as soon as you can.


6. Have patience

Play the long game.

Building a scaling a business takes time.
