We’re going to zoom in on 3 of these today; no market need, poor marketing, and ran out of cash.
Here’s how you can prevent it and how to SUPERCHARGE your business.
🧩: No market need
Build a super simple MVP.
Get feedback.
Tons of it.
Iterate and improve.
Sell the vision.
Keep taking feedback.
“Build it and they will come” has never worked for anyone.
📱: Poor marketing
You don’t need a huge marketing budget.
You don’t need paid ads either.
You barely need a website in the beginning.
What you need is to >desperately< learn content marketing.
And growing organically on social media.
You need to understand it.
You need to define what it should look like for your startup.
This is THE game changer you need to nail.
Because we are in the attention economy.
You should ride this wave and leverage from it.
Every startup should see themselves as a media company.
💸: Ran out of cash
Bootstrap your startup as long as you can.
Start selling as soon as possible.
Don’t build for two years and then search for funding to hire salespeople.
Sell, sell, sell.
Build a lean team.
And buy services from freelancers.
Run as lean as possible.
