🧯Here's why your content sucks & how you can change it

You’ve spent time on writing a post for LinkedIn, and then you got 2 likes (one like was from your friend because you asked them) and a few impressions..

At the same time, everyone else is going viral and getting thousands of impressions, shares, comments and likes 🤯

Do you know that feeling?

It sucks.

Chances are you left out critical components in your post.

Or the post you wrote was really good, but you haven’t optimised for maximum reach so the post didn’t get as much credit as it deserved.

Great content is all about emotions.

You need to make people FEEL something.

So instead of continuing with the same approach, and then give up, do this instead:

  1. Define WHO you are writing for:

    What’s important to them?
    What do they care about?
    What’s their challenges?
    What do they want?
    What’s their pain?

  2. LinkedIn is NOT a billboard. It’s a professional network where people come to network, learn and do business.

    What does that mean?

    It means: Building an audience is as much about posting content that resonates with your target audience as it is you engaging on the platform.

    In every interaction with your network, make sure you add value to the dialogue.

  3. Start with a great hook. Draw people in.

    When people scroll their feed on LinkedIn, they scroll roughly 100 meters.

    😳

    Yeah, I know it’s crazy.

    So choosing a GREAT hook is key to make people stop and read your post.

  4. Get to the point fast. Be concise and write short sentences.

    Skip the PhD.

    This is social media.

    Content should be short form. Long form is for newsletters and blog articles.

  5. End the post with a summary, a call to action, or ask for people’s opinion and add to the post…

And please for the love of everything that is holy, don’t talk product and features in your content.
