🔥 How I’d grow on LinkedIn if I started from 0
8 simple steps you can start doing today!

I always laugh when I hear this.
Because it always comes from people with no audience.
So I tell them:
..well, it pays my bills pretty well 😂
And it’s changed so many people’s lives.
Some examples:
Book deals
Career growth
Speaking gigs
People finding a new job
People building communities
Founders finding investors
Business growth: so many founders getting their business transformed due to the impact of organic growth on LinkedIn.
But of course, you need to learn how to monetize an audience to get there.

🔥 How I’d grow on LinkedIn if I started from 0
This is exactly how I’d grow fast (and how you can too)
1 - Get clear on what you want to be known for.
The content you post should attract the right people.
I recommend to write down your mission, and what you want to be known for.
Remember, people want to be:
→ Educated
→ Inspired
→ Entertained
Once you’ve decided, ask yourself what the best format is to communicate your message:
carousel
infographic
visual
picture
video
poll
text only
I recommend that you go for a mix.
Either way, you should create content that makes your audience feel understood.

2 - Write like you speak.
Your goal isn't to impress.
It's to CONNECT.
Drop the corporate jargon.
Be human.
People follow people, not faceless brands.
(That’s why Elon has 220M followers and Tesla only 23.9M.)

To anyone questioning the impact of a personal brand, just look at Elon and Tesla 👆
Remember:
44% of a company’s market value depends on the CEO’s reputation.
3 - Pick 4–5 content pillars and stick to them.
These should reflect your expertise and what your audience cares about.
For ex:
→ Marketing
→ Tech trends
→ Personal growth
→ Founder lessons
→ Business growth
→ Career growth
→ Investment
→ Personal wealth
→ Portfolio career
→ Sustainability
etc etc.
You build trust by showing up with consistency and clarity.
Talk about your experiences and attract the right people to you:
hot takes
observations
show your values
make people relate
personal experiences
relax and have some fun
help people find great jobs
fundamental things you believe in
a personal story based on experience
Clarity sells.
So skip the “want to seem smart” posts.
4 - Know exactly who you're speaking to.
Before you write, ask:
→ Who is this for?
→ What keeps them up at night?
→ What outcome are they chasing?
→ What would genuinely help them today?
When your message hits their mindset, it converts.
You want to make people FEEL something.
5 - Stop talking only about yourself.
Most people default to “Here’s what I did.”
But the real magic is:
→ Here’s what you can learn
→ Here’s how this helps you
Center your audience.
Always.
It’s always about them, not us.
I still get a lot of messages from people who post every day on LinkedIn asking for help: “why don’t I grow faster?”
And the truth is: many are just talking about themselves.
The moment you make that switch, things turn around and you start growing.
6 - Let your profile do the selling.
Think of your profile as a landing page.
→ Remove fluff
→ Use a clean, sharp cover photo
→ Craft a tagline that says what you do + who you help
→ Add testimonials or results in the About section
→ Feature your offers or wins in the Featured section
→ Make every section skimmable and client-friendly
You should aim for:
“I should know this person”
That’s the impression you want to create.
You get one shot at it.
Don’t waste it.

7 - Engage daily (without overthinking it)
Set aside 25–30 minutes a day.
→ Leave thoughtful comments on relevant posts
→ Start conversations with creators in your space
→ Add your POV to trending discussions
That’s how you build visibility faster.
Bonus tip:
I’ve started to activate “recent” a few times every day.
2 reasons:
1 - It allows me to engage on posts in my closest network (people who don’t get a lot of engagement on their posts and if i don’t switch to recent I never see their posts)
2 - Clean up my network - I remove (unfollow and remove connection) people who I don’t want in my network anymore
8 - Stay consistent (even when results feel slow)
You don’t need to post daily. Start with 3–4 posts a week.

Remember:
The people who win aren’t always the loudest.
They are often the ones who show up long enough to be heard.
Follow this 8-step proven framework and you’ll build a brand that drives:
🤝 Trust
💰 Inbound leads
⚡️ And real influence
