When I started building on LinkedIn, I had around 6,000 followers.

Today, I have more than 276,000.

And I can tell you one thing:

An audience changes your life.

An audience gives you leverage, inbound, opportunities and options.

It makes people trust you before they ever speak to you.

It makes selling easier.

It makes getting booked, hired, invited, referred, and remembered easier.

Some people think an audience is about becoming an influencer.

It’s obviously not.

It’s about becoming impossible to ignore in your market.

Because the person with the audience has an unfair advantage.

They don’t need to beg for attention → They already have it.

They don’t need to explain who they are from scratch → People have seen how they think.

They don’t need to start every sales conversation cold → Trust has already started.

That’s why I’m so obsessed with this.

Here are the 9 things that helped me build my audience, my inbound pipeline, and a 6-figure online business.

No follow-up questions required

Every sales leader knows the feeling. You walk into a pipeline review with a number you believe in, and twenty minutes later, you're defending every line item to a CEO who just wants to know what's actually going to close.

HubSpot Sales Hub ends that conversation. Every deal, every rep's activity, and every buyer signal are all in one place and updated automatically. So your forecast is built on what's actually happening. And when you present that number, you can stand behind it.

1 . Decide what you want to be known for

You can talk about multiple topics.

But they need to point back to one clear positioning.

If people don’t understand what you stand for, they won’t remember you.

And if they don’t remember you, they won’t buy from you.

Clarity comes first.

2 . Write like a human

If a smart 10-year-old can’t understand your post, rewrite it.

Nobody wants to read corporate fog.

The internet is already full of people trying to sound clever.

Be useful instead.

3 . Build strong content pillars

Pick 4-5 themes you can talk about for years.

Then go deep.

Stop jumping from topic to topic because something is trending.

That’s how you confuse the market.

Repetition is how people start associating you with a problem, a topic, a solution, or a point of view.

That’s when the audience starts working for you.

4 . Make your profile convert

Your profile is not a CV, it’s your landing page.

When someone lands there, they should understand this in seconds:

  1. Who you are

  2. What you do

  3. Who you help

No clarity = no inbound.

If people have to work too hard to understand you, they leave.

5 . Show up consistently

There are people less experienced than you winning more opportunities because they are more visible than you.

You can beat most people by staying consistent because most people quit too early.

They post for 3 weeks, nothing happens -they stop.

Then they say LinkedIn doesn’t work.

LinkedIn works, but not if you quit.

6 . Engage like a real person

Commenting is not a tactic.

It’s how relationships start.

A good comment can put you in front of the right people before they ever see your own content.

But don’t comment like a robot without a soul.

Add something real.

That is how people start remembering you, and start following you.

7 . Don’t quit before momentum begins

The beginning is slow because nobody knows you yet.

That doesn’t mean it isn’t working.

It means you’re still earning attention.

And attention is earned through repetition.

Keep going.

8 . Make the content about them

People don’t care about your story until they can see themselves in it.

Your content should make people think:

“That’s me.”
“I needed this.”
“She gets it.”
“I want that too.”

That’s when content starts to move people.

Not when it makes you look impressive.

Content should ALWAYS be about them, not you.

9 . Build simple offers and a funnel

Attention, followers and impressions are not enough.

You need to make it easy for people to understand what you offer and easy to buy from you.

When trust grows, business follows - but only if people know what to do next.

That’s how I went from 6,000 to 276,000 followers.

Not by chasing hacks.

By building trust, clarity, consistency, and a business model around what I know.

Your personal brand is not about followers.

It’s about leverage and becoming the person people think of when they have a problem you can solve.

It’s about creating more opportunities, more inbound, more freedom, and more control over your future.

Because the people with an audience will have more options.

The people without one will keep waiting to be picked.
