Before I became an entrepreneur, I was a Sales Director.

I built the EMEA sales team at the unicorn company Remote.

I joined them early and I recruited top talent across Europe, Middle East and Africa, and built a high-performing remote team.

We became a unicorn and then a triple unicorn… 🦄

We all worked remotely.

My team was distributed in 22 countries.

We scaled revenue to 0-$30M ARR.

While we also built an amazing culture.

We had major competition.

We scaled knowledge across the team FAST.

Because we had to win ground over the competition.

Not being able to build culture, build a high performing team, and hold people accountable in a remote setting is complete BS.

   After a while → start a newsletter.
   
   A newsletter is next level of owning your own distribution.
   
   

2. Focus on one problem
   
   You don’t need to change the world.
   
   Find one problem people are willing to pay you for.
   
   Keep it simple.
   
   Deliver it a few % better than the competition.
   
   Leverage AI. Build lean. Aim for a profitable income stream from day one.

   
   See if you can make it grow.
   
   Can it scale?
   
   
   

3. Write online.
   
   There are so many platforms now with insane organic reach.
   
   

4. Attention = the new currency
   
   Learning how to grab attention is well spent time today.
   
   When you have an audience you can build whatever business you want.
   
   It’s the best way to give yourself options.
   
   Your personal brand drives your business forward.
   
   

5. Start before you are ready.
   
   We will never be 100% ready.
   
   → We get clarity when we take action.

   Start with what you have.

   
   Because this ain't rocket science.

   
   It just requires effort and persistence.
   
   

6. Don’t expect it to be easy.
   
   Actually expect the opposite.
   
   Prepare and set yourself up for success.
   
   And when most people quit, you keep going.
   
   Nothing worth anything in life is easy.
   
   It's hard in the beginning because you need to keep going when no one is watching.

Run your own race.

It’s the only way to truly be free.
