šŸ”„ One Thing All Successful People Have in Common

Can you guess what it is?

Can you guess what it is?

ā†’ Successful people have a sense of urgency.

I canā€™t explain the level of excitement I feel when I meet people like this.

But Iā€™ll try.

ā†“

These people operate on a different frequency, moving faster, executing quicker, and always ready to go.

They listen.

They are efficient.

They take initiative.

They bring energy to a room.

They have a mindset of:

EVERYTHING is figureoutable.

They know getting it done is better than getting it perfect.

And this will probably piss some people off:

Most people are slow.

Yes, I said it.

Itā€™s a fact.

Time kills business.

Literally.

So, what can you do to set yourself apart?

Iā€™ll tell you, but first the sponsor of this edition:

Donā€™t let that lead be the one that got away

Did you know that 86% of clients choose the business that responds to them first? Be the first every time with these 3 steps:

  • Make a lasting first impression

  • Stay connected with personalized follow-ups

  • Seal the deal with simple sign and pay processes

ā†“

When people schedule 60-minute meetings, look at the agenda and ask yourself: can this be done async?

If not, cut the meeting to 15-20 minutes.

When others take 4 days to respond, get back within the hour.

When you receive an inbound lead, respond as if your business depends on itā€”because it does.

ā†“ā†“ā†“

Again, time kills so many businesses.

Be the one who responds fast.

While others are stuck planning, planning, planningā€”successful people have already executed, learnt what works and what doesnā€™t and are onto the next task.

A sense of urgency is the most valuable trait of an employee.

Itā€™s the most valuable trait of an entrepreneur.

When Iā€™m hiring, this is what I look for.

In my experience, a sense of urgency is hard to teach.

So, when you meet these rare diamonds, take extra good care of them.

And to be fairā€¦

Slow is the norm for most businesses today.

I hear this all the time:

"We want more customers.ā€

The same businesses:

  • Take forever to reply to inbound emails

  • Say things like: ā€œWeā€™ve always done it this wayā€

  • Ignore their own comment sections on social media

  • Donā€™t prioritize posting content on social media to get free šŸ‘€ because they "donā€™t have time"

And these are the same people who also want to spend a ton of time and budget on chasing people through outbound emails.

When the data and the market says:

Weā€™ve had enough of cold outreach BUT we respond and like to consume and engage on social media content.

And we wonder why most businesses fail šŸ™ƒ

So hereā€™s the takeaway:

Move fast, and act with urgency.

The speed at which you operate can be the difference between thriving and just surviving.
