🔥 One Thing All Successful People Have in Common

Can you guess what it is?

Can you guess what it is?

Successful people have a sense of urgency.

I can’t explain the level of excitement I feel when I meet people like this.

But I’ll try.

These people operate on a different frequency, moving faster, executing quicker, and always ready to go.

They listen.

They are efficient.

They take initiative.

They bring energy to a room.

They have a mindset of:

EVERYTHING is figureoutable.

They know getting it done is better than getting it perfect.

And this will probably piss some people off:

Most people are slow.

Yes, I said it.

It’s a fact.

Time kills business.

Literally.

So, what can you do to set yourself apart?

I’ll tell you, but first the sponsor of this edition:

Make your revenue goals a reality

Become a top-performing independent marketing and creative consultant by:

  • Earn passive income

  • Boost client loyalty

  • Work on retainers

When people schedule 60-minute meetings, look at the agenda and ask yourself: can this be done async?

If not, cut the meeting to 15-20 minutes.

When others take 4 days to respond, get back within the hour.

When you receive an inbound lead, respond as if your business depends on it—because it does.

Again, time kills so many businesses.

Be the one who responds fast.

While others are stuck planning, planning, planning—successful people have already executed, learnt what works and what doesn’t and are onto the next task.

A sense of urgency is the most valuable trait of an employee.

It’s the most valuable trait of an entrepreneur.

When I’m hiring, this is what I look for.

In my experience, a sense of urgency is hard to teach.

So, when you meet these rare diamonds, take extra good care of them.

And to be fair…

Slow is the norm for most businesses today.

I hear this all the time:

"We want more customers.”

The same businesses:

  • Take forever to reply to inbound emails

  • Say things like: “We’ve always done it this way”

  • Ignore their own comment sections on social media

  • Don’t prioritize posting content on social media to get free 👀 because they "don’t have time"

And these are the same people who also want to spend a ton of time and budget on chasing people through outbound emails.

When the data and the market says:

We’ve had enough of cold outreach BUT we respond and like to consume and engage on social media content.

And we wonder why most businesses fail 🙃

So here’s the takeaway:

Move fast, and act with urgency.

The speed at which you operate can be the difference between thriving and just surviving.
