💰 Simple Makes You Money, Complex Makes You Busy.
3 examples + how to fix it
Most founders I talk to are not short on effort.
They are stuck on positioning.
Early on, many focus more on sounding smart than being clear.
I see it with lawyers, CEOs, consultants, coaches, recruiters, product people, engineers, therapists, investors.
Even marketers fall into this trap.
And it quietly kills growth.
I want to show you 3 areas where it shows up the most, and how you can fix it
……….but first, this week’s sponsor: Google
↓
Easy setup, easy money
Making money from your content shouldn’t be complicated. With Google AdSense, it isn’t.
Automatic ad placement and optimization ensure the highest-paying, most relevant ads appear on your site. And it literally takes just seconds to set up.
That’s why WikiHow, the world’s most popular how-to site, keeps it simple with Google AdSense: “All you do is drop a little code on your website and Google AdSense immediately starts working.”
The TL;DR? You focus on creating. Google AdSense handles the rest.
Start earning the easy way with AdSense.
Here is where it shows up most often
1. LinkedIn posts
You teach. You give advice.
Frameworks. Lessons.
And never really show who you are.
I call this the professor approach.
✅ → Fix it by leading with what they want.
❌ Not what you think they need.
Show you understand their problem first.
Then earn the right to help.
Be human. Show who you are.
Ask them questions. Dig deep.
And then show how you can help solve it.
Remember: people buy from people they like.
Why?
It’s clear and very simple.
2. Your website
You try to explain everything at once.
Who you are. What you do. How it works.
People get lost and leave.
✅ → Fix it by making the first screen about them.
One problem.
One promise.
One clear next step.
Don’t tell people your whole life.
We have microseconds to capture people’s attention.
Make it easy to understand how you can help them.
3. Your offer
Too many features. Too many options. Too much flexibility.
Choice creates friction.
✅ →Fix it by simplifying.
One clear outcome.
One ideal buyer.
One obvious win.
Break down your service into steps.
Don’t sell a Ferrari to someone without a drivers license.
Meet them where they’re at by layering your offer:
Small 🧁
Medium 🧁🧁
Large 🧁🧁🧁
Let them decide the level and pace.
The better you understand who you’re selling to, the better you will be able to position your LinkedIn posts, website and offer.
This means understanding:
Who they are
What they care about
What they want in life
Their pains
Their desired outcomes
Their challenges
The lifestyle they want
If something isn’t converting, it’s rarely effort that needs fixing.
It’s almost always positioning.
Your problem is not marketing. It’s clarity.
The offer is usually fine. The framing is not.
Clarity prints money.
Until next time,
Hanna
