🪺 Why All Your Eggs in One Basket Is a Silent Trap

The creator economy is now worth $250 billion and is expected to grow to $1487 billion by 2034

If your livelihood depends on one job, one client, or one income stream, let me be blunt:

You don’t have autonomy.

It feels secure, doesn’t it?

One big pay-check hitting your account every month.
One product/service that helps one specific type of client.

Until it doesn’t anymore.

It’s a house of cards.

What if you lose the job?
What if you lose the client?

Everything collapses.

True autonomy isn’t about freedom from hard work—it’s about freedom from dependency.

Autonomy means having OPTIONS.

Multiple baskets.

Because you have zero autonomy if you have all your eggs in one basket.

It’s not easy.

But that’s why you should start small.

(see how below)

🖍️ Start small

1 - Start with building a side hustle

This is not just for employees, I have loads of business owners reaching out to me every day and asking for advice on how they can build multiple income streams.

Don’t build a massive business plan.
Don’t go and buy fancy tools.
Don’t spend 6 months on planning.

Start exactly where you are today.

Identify a couple of things you commit to doing every single day.

Start small.

And iterate forward.

To be able to iterate you need to be out there; trying, testing, experimenting, talking to potential clients, getting feedback….

2 - Diversify your skills → Learn what you need to know so you can build what you want.

The easiest way to go to market today with any product or service is to start with creating and posting content on social media.

The creator economy market size is now projected to be worth $250 billion (source: Deloitte) and is expected to reach $1,487 billion by 2034.

The gatekeepers are GONE.

You are not too late.

The barrier to entry is lower than ever before.

I can’t emphasize this enough.

Invest in the skills you need.

And then provide value to people out there.

That’s how you will grow your business.

🌍 The world is your market.

Posting content online (building in public) has been the foundation of building multiple 6-figures ($) in my business.

Btw, I will soon launch my next guide and newsletter course:

💰 How to monetize your audience

Stay tuned for this!

3 - Say no to things that are no longer serving you

You need to remove clutter in order to create clarity.

→ If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no.

This is how you set yourself up for success.

This can mean:

  • saying no to friends

  • cutting Netflix

  • stop doom scrolling social media

  • cutting toxic people from your life

And actively search for people who are doing what you want to do.

4 - Create something you own

  • a course

  • a product

  • a newsletter

  • 1:1 services

  • ghostwriting services

  • a podcast

  • ebooks

It’s not easy.

But living a life with zero autonomy isn’t easy either.

In fact, it can be a total nightmare.

The hardest part about building autonomy is the start.

The rest?

Is all about building your MOMENTUM.

And being relentless about the life you want to build.

You need to want this so badly.

That mindset and hunger took me to where I am today.

Which has given me:

  • freedom

  • working from wherever I want (no, I’m not a digital nomad)

  • more time with my family

  • more travel and experience the world together

  • setting my own rules

  • designing the life I want

  • and waking up every day feeling challenged, excited, hungry and at the same time content with life

I want this for you too.

Keep building.

Hanna
