🔥 How to write a newsletter people want to read
The average return is about $36 for every $1 spent.

I'll keep beating this drum until you launch your newsletter.
Email still beats every other channel for ROI.
The average return is about $36 for every $1 spent.
It also converts to business better than social: nearly 40 times better than social media.
Your audience already lives in the inbox. Roughly half or more opens now happen on mobile.
Build for that reality.
Once you have traction on social media, you should launch a newsletter and get some of your followers over to an email list.
Email users are forecast to reach around 4.6 billion this year (🤯)
Scale is definitely there.

...let me share my best tips with you...but first today's sponsor:
The best HR advice comes from those in the trenches. That’s what this is: real-world HR insights delivered in a newsletter from Hebba Youssef, a Chief People Officer who’s been there. Practical, real strategies with a dash of humor. Because HR shouldn’t be thankless—and you shouldn’t be alone in it.
1. Keep it short and skimmable.
Most readers are on mobile.
✅ Use clear headers
✅ Short paragraph
✅ And one idea per section.
Simple is always always better.
Find inspiration from newsletters you read.
Learn from people who are ahead of you.
I read about 7-8 different newsletters every week.
2. Tell one story that teaches one lesson.
Make it real. Use examples to show that you know your topic.
Remember: People remember stories 22x better than facts.
People want to follow real, authentic people.
Stick to your topics, but don’t be afraid to stand out from the crowd and share things from your personal life.
Here are a few examples (click on the headline to read them)
Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
3. Make the next step obvious.
✅ One link.
✅ One CTA.
❌ No menu of choices.
An email with a single ask converts better.
4. Be consistent.
Send your newsletter on the same day every week.
Consistency compounds trust and ROI over time.
5. Preview value in the first two lines.
Your hook decides opens and scroll depth.
The headline of each edition matters much more than we think.
Spend time on creating headlines that people want to click on and read.
A week ago, in this edition I promised to promote a few newsletters from readers.
