  4. They don't know how to create content for LinkedIn so they turn to AI. And what they get is generic, irrelevant BS content that sounds the same as everyone else.

1 - Decide what you want to be known for.

Yes you can absolutely talk about several topics.

2 - Write like you speak.

Everyone should be able to understand your posts (no PhD posts)

Stop trying to sound smart.

Be YOU.

3 - Write about your topics with your unique voice.

Decide on 4-5 content pillars, and build 100s of subtopics.

4 - To create great content you need to understand your target audience.

Their pain, challenges, goals, struggles, the lifestyle they want etc

Educate them.

5 - You need to have a clear LinkedIn profile.

A scattered profile is one of the biggest conversion blockers.

No clarity = no conversion

It should be crystal clear:

  • who you are

  • what you do

  • who you help

That’s how you make people want to follow you, start conversations with you, sign up to your newsletter, download your guide/course and get inbound.

6 - You need to be consistent.

Algorithms like consistency.

Boring consistency changed my life.

It’s so underrated.

7 - Building trust takes TIME.

98% of people who see your content are not ready to buy from you. Some will never buy.

It takes time to build trust, credibility and awareness.

Sadly, a lot of people don’t get to see the fruit from audience growth because they quit too soon.

It’s systemised relentless consistency.

8 - Content is all about emotions - you need to make people feel something.

Add emotional depth. Don’t just teach. Show struggles, dreams, failures.

Rotate formats: lists, stories, visuals, lessons.

9 - Building an audience is 50% content, 50% engaging on the platform.

What is a great comment and why does it matter?

2-3 comments per day on other people's content is not enough to grow an audience.

10 - Don't niche down, this is terrible advice.

→ YOU are the niche.

When we build an audience we build trust at SCALE.

We do it by being our unique and authentic selves.

Authenticity is the essence of a personal brand.

11 - Understand your target audience.

Who they are, what they care about, what they want in life, their pains, their desired outcomes, their challenges, the lifestyle they want.

12 - If everyone agrees with you, you're not doing a great job.

Do your thing, some will like it, some will not. Accept it and move on.

Other people's opinions won't pay your bills.

13 - 99% of people give up.

Build a SYSTEM to help you continue when you want to quit.

14 - Market yourself like your life depended on it.

Show your experiences and results.
Show why people should listen to you.

Your personal brand will compound over time. No one can take this away from you.

15 - If you're posting content and not growing, it's very likely that your content is not good enough.

So drop the ego → ask for help.

16 - Grow with the platform and your community.

What people wanted a year ago is not the same as it is now.

Learn about different formats, when and why to use them.

Don’t just post to sell.

People are allergic to it.

17 - Understand the user to improve performance.

People have short attention span on social media, and people come to LinkedIn to scroll the feed.

It's your job to find ways to grab their attention.

REMEMEBER:

  1. Attention

  2. Trust

  3. Offer

Skip generic BS.

Because of AI it’s everywhere.

Use AI to multiply yourself, not outsource your brain, voice and uniqueness.

18 - People on LinkedIn want to be educated, inspired, and entertained.

Diversify your content.

The algorithm will reward you for it.

19 - Create and post short form content.

Long form is for newsletters or carousels.

Most people don’t use LinkedIn newsletters like I do.

I’ve sent one edition per week for 3 years.

It converts to business really well.

And makes a lot of people sign up to this Beehiiv newsletter as well.

20 - Talk about your experiences and attract the right people to you:

  • your values

  • a personal story based on experience

  • observations

  • hot takes

  • fundamental things you believe in

  • relax and have some fun

  • help people find a new job

  • personal experiences

21 - Attach yourself to something bigger than yourself.

Meaning: BIG topics that matter to a lot of people.

22 - After 4-5 months, repurpose some of your best content.

People don't remember and you have new followers by then too.

Shipping it the same won’t work.

Tweak the text and image slightly.

📌 Bonus tip: use your best performing content and add some budget to it and target more of the people you want to reach. Gary V talks a lot about this. I haven’t tried this yet, I might do it in the future.

23 - Engage and invest in building REAL relationships.

There are no shortcuts here.

Give, give, give, give a ton of value.

This will come back to you 10x.

24 - Don't chase followers, build a community.

Spend time on the platform and comment on other people's posts.

Again: LinkedIn wants engaged members.

The more you engage, the better your content will perform.

25 - Skip obvious content.

Please.

If it doesn’t bring value, skip it.

📌 Bonus tip: a great way to clean your network from people who post irrelevant things, or just people who you connected with once and don’t really know, is to go to your feed and click “Recent” in the upper right corner. This is the best way to unfollow and remove connections with people you don’t want to have in your network. I do this a few times per week.

26 - Become relatable.

People buy from people they like and relate to.

Don’t know how to do this? Drop the ego → ask for help.

27 - Personal storytelling receives 7x more engagement and 4x more reach.

TELL STORIES.

People remember stories up to 22 times more than facts alone.

28 - Make your content about THEM, it's never about us.

This is one of the reasons people don't grow, they talk about themselves all the time.

29 - Build a proper funnel.

You need to build a proper funnel and value ladder:

- Some free stuff
- Low ticket
- Mid ticket
- High ticket

Cross reference between them. Build an ecosystem that loops between these 4 ♻️

Learn how to engage people from a like and warm them up so more people convert into clients + have offers for different levels and budgets

30 - Content will never save a bad offer.

If you’re not seeing any results: Make sure you know you have evaluated both your content and offer i.e are you doing it the right way?

31 - Build a system.

This is crucial.

All of us with a big audience have a system.

It’s impossible to keep going if you don’t.

When people are ready to buy, they will reach out to you.
You can of course also speed up the process a bit and do outbound.

→ Organic social turned me into a 6-figure business owner.

I guarantee you will sell more and grow faster if you adopt this approach.

Building your personal brand will boost everything that you do.

This is not rocket science.

But it requires work and persistence.

Give it 6-9 months.

Make sure you learn how to build audience first so you know you are doing it the right way.

It can literally change your life, career and business.
